Well not quite yet. However, as a lapsed sculptor I’ve always found the trees in Epping Forest a very sculptural subject, so did Jacob Epstein! He lived in Loughton briefly and carved Jacob a the Angel a 10’ high alabaster number in a garden shed in Loughton. He also did lots of expressive paintings of Epping Forest. They now reside in Walsall Museum, he left them to his sister who lived there apparently.
